DEEJ
[Jacksonville, Florida]
- Owner Of Betamorph Recordings
Dubstep

Stateside-based label Betamorph Recordings is the bass-heavy fruit of veteran DJs and producers Dylan James (aka Deej) and Chris McCahill (aka Megatron). Taking the visceral edge of Deej’s roots in the early nineties Los Angeles rave scene, and combining it with Megatron’s seminal graphic imagery of a galactic future, Betamorph offers a palette of kinetic, funky, yet twisted Dubstep releases that shred any remaining borders around contemporary electronic music.

The science fiction imagery synonymous with Betamorph is the product of a true coalition between art and music. It’s symbolic of the ethos inherent in every release: that Dubstep’s lack of boundaries epitomise the innovation capable in a digital age and that a metamorphosis from the archaic system is now possible. The Betamorph symbol not only represents a futuristically styled catalogue of groundbreaking music, but a fair deal for the artist, a perspective that many currently see as alien. This extraterrestrial unity brings strength and conviction in the future. As well as some pretty sick tunes.

Founded in 2009, Betamorph are continually releasing a series of epic soundscapes and dirty symphonies to cement their position at the forefront of Dubstep evolution. The artist roster currently boasts names such as Phaded, Skrewface, Big Basha, Gaia, Black Swan, DJ Robyn…. This ensures that Betamorph will never follow a specific sound, so output can stay spontaneous and the catalogue never predictable. The passion is as deep as the bass, but the ambition reaches to another galaxy. Don’t worry, this isn’t some lame Princess Leia shit. This is true subterranean sci-fi: hard tunes and the future of Dubstep. A genre undergoing Betamorphosis.

Kruser
[Milwaukee, WI]
- Locked Down - 1% - Threyda
Dubstep/Drum & Bass

One could say Kruser is a jack of all trades, promoter, graphic designer, sound engineer and one phenomenal DJ! Growing up in Green Bay Wisconsin, Kruser was in a few bands playing funk slap bass until one day being exposed to a whole new world of music, electronic dance music. Becoming a fan of such music as Underworld, and The Chemical Brothers, he was then turned onto underground party’s and got a chance to see what it was all about.

He noticed the vibe of the party and how everything was manipulated by the DJ. With every drop of the bass and the smooth transitions of the tracks, he realized that this is were he wanted to bring his musical performance. 2000, Kruser started buying vinyl like a madman on a rampage. More as a record collector than a genre stickler, buying anything from all variations of House (mostly), Techno, Breaks, Drum & Bass, and Hip Hop.

Coming up quickly Kruser played anywhere from Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee (The Rave, Turner Hall, Three), Minneapolis (VIP Room), Chicago (Smartbar, Lava), Rockford, Kansas City, Lawrence, Quad Cities, Gary, Detroit (Hart Plaza), and everywhere in between. Meanwhile Kruser was also starting Locked Down Productions throwing some of the bigger party’s in the Northeastern Wisconsin area with a crew of DJ’s and friends.

Then Kruser moved to Chicago to build Hedroom Productions from the ground up, a live sound reinforcement / recording studio / graphic design company. Chicago is were he honed his turntablism skills, and his ear, and love for audio. Now residing in Milwaukee, Kruser is buying up production equipment and software to take the next step and start getting his thoughts out on playable media.

Also Kruser was the frontman for the Konkrete Jungle Milwaukee chapter, keeping the D&B / Dubstep scene alive and well in the brewcity, Kruser decided to cancel the chapter and continue promoting under the promotional group Locked Down Productions (LDP).

Kruser has opened up for the likes of Pendulum Live, John B, El Hornet (Pendulum), Edit (Glitch Mob), Mr. Dibbs, Doc Martin, Klute, Starscream, Ewun The Gun, DJ Irene, Claw (Trill Bass), Paul Anthony, Mark Instinct, Danny The Wildchild, Kyle Gieger, Richie August, DJ Empress, Reid Speed, Jack Trash, Bryan Jones, Nustylez & Aztek, Brandon S, Ric Roberts, and Pipeline, just to name a few. Kruser’s quick mixing abilities, scratching, and pure raw energy behind the decks is sure to fill the dancefloor in any situation, in any venue!

Starting off with beatz mainly influenced by Idm Artist Like Aphex Twin and such, Signature, Was introduced to the sounds of Drum n Bass not soon too follow after. Naturally, being heavily into hardcore and grindcore metal, the sounds of darker dnb became the forefront of his music, Which lead to him quickly Being pickup by Foulplay Records. Now with a couple of Digital Releases under His Belt and Soon to drop Vinyl Release, due spring 2008, He is really gettin someheadz turning. Getting playtime from the likes of Prolific, Spektrum, Sinner Inside, Mumblz, Titan Zero, KillSwitch, and Reid Speed Just to Name a few. 2008 has been a triumphant year for the midwestern region of the united states. Adversion Recordings is a perfect example. Launching in August 2008, Adversion was created as a method of getting un-heard music to be the opposite of that here in middle america. The goal is to have every ear turned in the direction of our speakers. With hard drum and bass being big on the rise in the u.s. right now, we are personally taking it a step furthur. And the only way to do so is to find the gnarliest sounding neuro, techno-infused, ear-blistering drum and bass we can and set it forth into the open area that is know as the midwest. When you add dubstep into the mix, it creates a whole nother world of nasty ideas. Adversion Recordings is the next step into infusing the genres of dub and dnb. It is our mission statement to keep the scene alive, and you listeners are our only hope. : ) All we can say is keep your eyes and ears peeled for the next generation of drum and bass and dubstep.
With the Title of Vp of Adversion Recordings, Sighnature is ready to show the world what American Drum and Bass has to offer. Bringin in Tunes from the likes of Mumblz, SolarCube, Nasty G, Kid Kryptic, Carnal Motive, Anthrax and many more, Big things are in store For 2008 Adversion, Keep it Locked!
